On Wednesday (the 27th) we went on a cruise around Sydney harbour. We saw the opera house, the bridge and a bunch of little bays and stuff. There was also a random fortress in the middle of the harbour that was pretty much sitting on a little rock. We stopped for lunch at a nice bay that had a good fish and chips place. Before lunch we walked around and played at a park for a little bit. Then we ordered some fish and chips and ate lunch. Before the boat came to pick us up we sat on the beach for a little while there were some really cool shells and the sand was the colour of perfectly cooked marshmallows. Then we went back on the boat and cruised back to Darling harbour to go to the aquarium.

Dear ?????? {Who am I talking to???]: sounds like a great outing. I especially liked the description of the sand color--"perfectly cooked marshmellows" What a great description!
ReplyDeleteBoat rides are fun--the trip is fun and what you see is fun. I remember taking a similar ride through that harbour and seeing shark nets at some beaches. That impressed me enough to remove any thought of a swim from my agenda.
Sounds like Australia is fun and the pictures make it look a bit warmer than NZ. Is that true? much love, bippy
