On this world tour, we have been doing a lot of sleeping in a tent. When we go out for dinner, my mom and dad make me order from the kid’s menu. So after going out, I am really hungry. When we were in New Zealand, we stayed at holiday parks. My mom and dad got the tent while my sisters and I had to sleep in the car. So we had metal sticking up our butts all night. When we went to Fitzroy Island, we had the tent and they got the room. We ended up sleeping on a tile floor in there room for the whole trip. When we went to Port Douglas, my dad said that we were a 4 person family to get a cheaper rate on the room. Thankfully there was a fold out couch in addition to the beds, so we all slept comfortably. But we have been squashed onto the less confortable side of things whenever we stay abroad.
No matter where we go, my Mom and dad get better accommodations then us kids. I think that we should get to choose where we sleep. Plus we should get a bed, unless we are camping. I what to plan a stay at a hotel for my family so maybe my parents can see how it feels to be us and have to sleep on the floor. I like to live in comfort. But it is just not happening. We have been living on the floor in our sleeping bags for too long while they complain about how their beds are uncomfortable. It is sad that they complain and they haven’t even felt how it is to sleep on the floor for days on end. When they know how it feels, then maybe they will get better accommodations for all of us.

ReplyDeleteYou should get your own rooms in Asia, especially Cambodia. Rooms are only $10 a night there. And, if your parents leave you outside at night in a tent, the local will steal you and sell you as indentured servants. That would teach them a lesson.
